Spring is on its way

Yesterday after I got home from work, Preston and I decided it was a nice day for a walk. So Preston picked up his leash and I grab the camera bag. Preston took the lead as we went out to find interesting things to photograph. The first thing that peeked his interest was this old fire-hydrant.

As we continued on our walk, I started to notice some signs of spring. I saw things like this cool clomp of green grass in a field of dead grass and this budding tree.

Then when we were almost home, Preston saw something that really looked like fun, the Mills Playground. But just before we got to the playground I saw this little bug on my finger. It is nice to start seeing winter turn into spring.

Childhood Memories on the Big Screen

If you were born in the late 70’s to early 80’s, you are probably as excited about the movies coming out this summer as I am. As a kid I was a big fan of GI Joe, X-Men and Transformers. So needless to say I love all of the comic book movies that have been made recently. However this year may be the best. Starting with X-Men Origins: Wolverine (May 1st). The previews for this look intense and some of my favorite characters, like Gambit, are finally going to be in this movie. Then there is Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen. I loved the first one so I hope this one is just as good. Last but not least is G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (August 7th) Starring Dennis Quaid. This movie looks GOOD. Kevin and I had all of the G.I. Joe toys growing up, and all of the big name characters are in this movie. Here are some links to see the previews.

Transformers
G.I. Joe (“What did you say your unit was call.” “I DIDN’T!”)

Kevin, this comes out right before your birthday. So I'm thinking we should go see this on your birthday.

My favorite things

I am a big tech geek so I love all my Apple products. First off I waited for about 5 months for Apple to come out with the new iMac. I love this machine it does what you think a computer should do and it doesn’t crash. Yes, I have two screens but don’t hate until you try it. Ashlee even thought it was dumb at first but now she loves it.

Next is the iPhone. Not only does this phone have the whole internet and the App store. With this phone you will never have another dinner discussion that goes unsolved.
Thank You Steve Jobs!

I love to watch movies at home so a good home theater is important to me. I have been accumulating these items for the past 5 years. I have a 32” LCD TV, Sony Blu-Ray player, Tivo and my new Polk audio speakers. I love all of these items.

Lastly, the one thing that I could not live without is Hersey’s chocolate Syrup. This is what I use to make my chocolate milk in the morning and it is what is used to help make my famous chocolate soup (vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup all mushed together in soupy goodness).
